You should book your flight to Mumbai so that you land the day before the trip starts (so you will land on Sunday). Note that the journey ends in Pondicherry, which has a domestic airport. The staff on site will be happy to help you book a flight ticket from Pondicherry to your next destination, or a train ticket. We will be happy to help you find the best tickets!
